Nagdaha : We visited, why not you ?

Kathmandu : Nagdaha is the religious lake situated at Dhapakhel Lalitpur district in Kathmandu valley.  Nagdaha is very beautiful place to visit inside Kathmandu valley and it also got more importance in religious belief.
According to local people there used to be a male serpent resides in Taudaha and the resident serpent of Nagdaha is female. During the rainy season the male serpent, widely spoken of in ancient scriptures and oral history of Kathmandu as a serpent king, makes a journey to the town of Panauti in order to participate in a festival. It is said that he stays with the female serpent of Nagdaha on his way to and back from Panauti. This union of the Nagas, mythical half serpent, half human beings, is followed by heavy rain. Nagdaha is very ecofriendly where you can visit for different purposes too. Boating is also available where you can watch the lake and take fresh air with natural beauty.
Actual meaning of Nagdaha is pond full of snakes called nag in Sanskrit language and Nag is worshipped as God. In the special occasion called Nagh Panchami they are worshipped. You can watch the lake from the side by sitting with your favorite persons with cool breeze air blowing and watch the blue skies from the middle of  the lake it will be awesome.
We visited and experienced new feelings so why not you?
